“Sharing the Joy in Making Music Together”

Welcome to Gainesville’s Collaborative Chamber Music Program! We are excited to offer small chamber music classes, recitals, and competition opportunities for students of all levels and abilities (across any private studio) in the first half of 2025.

Why Choose Chamber Music?

Chamber Music offers a unique and enriching musical experience. It:

  • Exposes students to a wide variety of classical literature.
  • Motivates students who seek more than solo repertoire.
  • Advances performance skills and encourages creativity.
  • Develops ensemble skills, including group intonation and collaboration.
  • Provides exciting concert performance opportunities.
  • Cultivates sight-reading skills in a supportive environment.

Our Program Highlights for Spring 2024:

  • Interested students will be grouped by availability with others of similar levels into string duos, trios, and quartets.
  • Students will meet for weekend classes, approximately every weekend, from February through May.
  • Chamber repertoire will include masterpieces by composers such as Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Pleyel, Mazas, and Wohlfahrt, among others.

Tuition and Inclusions:

For the Fall 2025 semester, our chamber music program is priced at $20 per student per coaching. This fee includes professional choaching, recital and sheet music expenses. For this semester, each ensemble will be assigned one or two coaches. There will be no make up lessons or refunds for missed lessons once dates/times are agreed upon.

Our program is open to all area Violin, Viola, and Cello students.

Groups will be formed by student’s availability, with requested student combinations and teachers taken into consideration.

We look forward to making beautiful music together in the 2025-2026 Collaborative Chamber Music Program!
